Point San Pedro Road Improvements Project
The County of Marin Department of Public Works (DPW) is preparing to resurface a 3.3-mile stretch of Point San Pedro Road from Union Street (near San Rafael High School) to Riviera Drive (near Peacock Gap Lagoon). MCK Services, Inc of Concord has been contracted to handle the project, which has a budget of $1,287,051.80.
In addition to road resurfacing, work will include drainage improvements, minor concrete, accessibility improvements, and road striping. Construction will take place during the daytime hours with traffic control measures. One-lane of alternating traffic will be maintained at all times during construction, and stopped public traffic is not to exceed 5 minutes. Every effort will be made to provide advance notice and minimize inconvenience to residents.
.Construction, which spans both City of San Rafael and County jurisdiction, is anticipated to start in mid-April and will go through July 2014. The paving from Riviera Drive to Biscayne will begin after July 2014.
